Dr. A. Neil Weiss

Dr. A. Neil Weiss is owner and founder of The Manetto Hill Animal Hospital. A local graduate of Syosset High School, Dr. Weiss found his way back to the ‘old neighborhood’ after his professional training. He is an alumni of Colgate University with a degree in Biology. Soon after, he had graduated Ross University Veterinary School with his clinical training at Oklahoma State University. Post-graduate training at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan rounded out Dr. Weiss’ academic and clinical training

Early experience as an associate clinician, emergency room veterinarian and house-call doctor earned Dr. Weiss excellent experience in all aspects of animal care.  Special interest in soft tissue surgery and laser assisted surgery are some of Dr. Weiss’ advanced skills

Dr. Weiss is married to Randi, our Hospital Administrator, with whom he has three children, Harley, Isabelle and Noah. They also have a house full of dogs and cats. He enjoys swimming and skiing when not working.

 

Dr. Andrew Lopez
Dr. Lopez graduated Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science then continued on to attend Cornell Veterinary School to graduate with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lopez has been practicing on Long Island for over 15 years. He has excellent diagnostic and surgical skills as well as being a great client communicator. Dr. Lopez has a genuine quality for developing a sincere relationship with each client that instills a sense of trust and caring for both client and patient alike. We are lucky to have found such a wonderful and talented doctor to have joined the practice.
 

 
Randi, Hospital Administrator
Randi is happy to be working so closely with her husband, Dr. Weiss.  Coming from a background in communications and theatre, Randi loves the interaction of the animals and their owners alike.  Randi runs the “behind-the-scenes” work that keeps the animal hospital in tip top shape.

 
Maryann, Office Manager
Maryann has been the Office Manager of the Manetto Hill Animal Hospital for over 6 years.  She has created an atmosphere of teamwork and respect among the staff.  Maryann’s management skills are unmatched.  She is loved by all her co-workers.  Maryann is the go-to person on a number of issues and she has managed to grow this practice into a well oiled machine.

 
Kathi, Veterinary Technician
Kathi has been with the Manetto Hill Animal Hospital for over 7 years.  Her dedication and love for animals can be seen everyday.  Even on her days off, Kathi is known to “drop in” and check to make sure everything is running smooth.  Clients and patients love Kathi.

 
Stacey, Veterinary Assistant
We are lucky to have such a talented and qualified Vet Assistant to join our staff. Stacey fills the halls with her positive attitude and friendly ways. She is proficient in catherizations, blood collection and radiology amongst her many other talents. Stacey is always there with a smile.

 
Esther, Head Receptionist
Esther is one of the friendly faces you encounter when you walk through our doors.  Esther’s commitment and desire to run the front desk with a smile and a helpful hand has made it pleasurable for both the patients and their parents alike.

 
Michelle, Receptionist
Michelle’s humor and spirit is a wonderful addition to the staff. She is a multi talented person and able to handle the front desk with a sense of ease. Although she is only here part-time, her effervescent presence lasts throughout the her days off. She is very organized and helpful and has helped create a calming environment for both the client and the patients alike.

 
Candace, Receptionist/Hotel Attendant
Candace is always walking around with a smile on her face. She is a true pleasure to have as part of our team. She is always willing to help out wherever she is needed. Candace is a natural with the animals and loves to play with them. You can always find her throwing a ball around with very happy dogs on a nice sunny day.

 
Matthew, Hotel Attendant
Matthew brings with him not only his never ending energy, but his love for his work. You can tell when Matthew is around from the excited wagging of the tails waiting to play with him. Matthew comes to us after working four years at North Shore Animal League. He's an all around compassionate guy and the guests all love him.

 
Katherine, Hotel Assistant
Katherine comes to us with quite a bit of experience. Her previous work experiences have been as a vet assistant as well as working at other animal boarding facilities and shelters. She has assisted with the Hurricane Katrina efforts in helping stranded animals get relocated. She is in the process of earning her Bachelor’s degree as a veterinary technician and we are delighted to have her as part of our team.

 
Flora, Groomer
Flora has been a part of the Paw Season’s Hotel since 2006. She is a highly qualified and talented groomer. Her grooming techniques are unsurpassed. Your pets will feel happy and beautiful after she’s done her magic. Her clients love the special attention she gives to each of her guests.

 
Carol, Groomer
Whether it’s a trim or just a bath, Carol has a knack for making your pet feel safe and comfortable while receiving their spa treatment. She has wonderful grooming skills while always using a gentle touch and a soft voice to make it a pleasurable experience.

 
Daniel, Hotel Assistant
Daniel comes to us after working for a local animal shelter, caring for homeless animals. He has a genuine enthusiasm and love for animals. He is a great addition to the Paw Season’s family and we are lucky to have such a kindhearted person working with us. He loves to play with the guests while always making sure their appetites have been satisfied and their accommodations are spotless.

 
Andrea, Paw Season's Manager
Andrea’s love for animals has led her to work in the animal field. She comes to us after having gained experience at another pet hotel and grooming facility. She is a caring and warm person whose love for animals really comes through.

 
Mary, Groomer
Mary comes to us after working for many years as a groomer in Massapequa. Mary has a creative mind for taking the shaggiest dog and creating a masterpiece with hair. She is genuine and loving to all her guests. She has a soft calming effect, making all her guests feel at home.

Laura, Hotel Assistant and Medical Staff
Laura has her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Behavior, Training and Enrichment as well as certifications in Grooming, Wildlife Rehabilitation, Zoo & Aquarium Science. We are so lucky to have her as part of not only our hotel staff but also a very important part of our medical team. She brings an amazing amount of positive energy and a degree of experience and competence of animal handling that showcases all of her learning.

 
Jennifer, Bather/Hotel Attendant
Jennifer has worked as a bather/groomer and is now an important addition to the Paw Season’s staff. She loves being around animals and they love her right back. Jennifer loves bathing her four legged friends and treats them to the finest of spa treatments.
