LASER SURGERY
Laser surgery facilitates quick wound healing and makes it possible for your pet to resume its normal activities more quickly than with conventional surgical methods. Laser surgery reduces the amount of pain, bleeding, swelling, bruising, and tearing of tissue, while expediting your pet’s recovery time from surgery.

Advantages of Laser Surgery
Reduced Pain:
The laser beam seals nerve endings as it cuts through
tissue. Your pet experiences less pain and post-operative trauma when laser
technology is used, because nerve endings are not left raw and exposed.
Reduced Bleeding: The laser beam seals small blood vessels during surgery, thereby
reducing the amount of bleeding your pet experiences. Reduced bleeding means
we can perform surgeries with greater accuracy and precision.
Reduced Swelling:
The laser beam penetrates your pet’s tissue and effectively seals the
vessels responsible for post –operative swelling. The laser beam creates a
clean, precise incision which drastically reduces post-operative
inflammation.
Reduced Risk of Infection: As the laser penetrates diseased
tissues, the high surface temperature effectively eliminates existing
microorganisms, resulting in a sterile surgical
environment.

Prenatal Care
Pregnancy in pets is often a new and uncertain situation for some
owners. With proper care and attention these cases can be some of our most
rewarding experiences. We can help guide our pregnant pet’s owners to insure
a positive outcome.
Pediatric Care
Proper care in the initial months of your pet’s life is paramount in setting the stage for healthy adult life. All new puppies and kittens should have a health exam with parasite check. Vaccinations are tailor-made to each pet’s exposure potentials and risks. Individualize inoculation regimens and regular rechecks are stressed between the 4-20 week-old periods. Health and behavioral consultations should be done every 3-4 weeks with our animal ‘babies’. Socialization techniques should be part of your complete veterinary care program.
Microchipping
A safe and permanent identification system. Microchip identification is the best way to insure your pet always has their ID with them. Tags often fall off or are never placed on the collar. This quick and easy system allows for lifelong fail safe identification so your pet can always find their way home.
Adult Care
Most animals are like people, they require most of their
care when they are very young or very old. We encourage annual exams with most pets that are in good physical condition. Vaccine updates for commonly occurring diseases and parasite checks
are part of our annual health check-up. Many important conditions can be evaluated and addressed during these visits.
Early diagnosis is key in preventive medicine.

Senior Care
Geriatric care is an emerging subject with our profession. No longer do we have to accept the conditions associated with getting old so readily. Senior pets are encouraged to be seen at least every 6 months to be evaluated. Dogs and cats age at seven times our rate. This means blood work should be performed annually after the age of seven in most pets. Early detection of many age related problems can go a long way in the prevention of commonly occurring conditions. New medications and therapies are available for a myriad of senior conditions such as arthritis, heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, incontinence and senility.
Hospice and Euthanasia
This can be the most difficult time in the pet-owner relationship.
When the quality of life of your loved one may be come compromised, you may have to make a difficult choice. Our goal is to help make that decision with you at the appropriate time. As hard as it is, we always wish to do the kindest thing for our beloved pets in these difficult times.
